Dutch Coconut Makaroons with Chocolate

Coconut cookies (well Macarons) with a drizzle of chocolate. Great with a cup of coffee or tea.

Ingrediënts:
4 eggs (seperated, we only need the egg whites)
250 gr desiccated coconut
250 gr fine sugar
 50 gr dark chocolate (72%)

1. Preheat your oven to 325F/170C. Put baking paper on your cookie tray.
Put the egg whites in a big bowl. Add the desiccated coconut and the sugar and mix with a wooden spoon until all is well combined and a sort of dough comes about.

2. With the help of two tablespoons, make mounds of the mixture and put them on your cookietray. Bake them for about 20 minutes.

3. Melt the chocolate "au bain Marie" en drizzle with the help of a fork over the baked Macarons.

4. For  twist: grate a lime in the dough and 2 teaspoons of ginger powder. Or: 3 tablespoons of raisins in rum.

                          "Veel Bakplezier"!
